These spikes are used to securely fix the edge to ground by hammering through the pre-positioned holes located on the bottom base of the link edge.

The Link Edge fishplate corner bracket allows the edge to be joined seamlessly at right angles and gives extra stability. It can also be bent to other angles as required.
